Old Testament Jewish prophesy:
Isaiah 53 New International Version (NIV)
1 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered, he will see the light of life[d] and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Fulfilled Prophecy - What Are The Odds?
Bible scholars tell us that nearly 300 references to 61 specific prophecies of the Messiah were fulfilled by Jesus Christ.
The odds against one person fulfilling that many prophecies would be beyond all mathematical possibility.
It could never happen, no matter how much time was allotted.
One mathematician’s estimate of those impossible odds is “one chance in a
trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion.”³
It's not about religions or man's churches.
What then will you do with Jesus Christ.
What then of Jesus Christ? We are responsible for our thoughts, choices, emotions, actions and will be held accountable to God's revealed Word and Laws understanding that to break one commandment is to have broken them all. God gave the law (the love of God) to enlighten mankind exposing the spiritual darkness within the unregenerate human soul. They are eternal principles given to uplift and draw us to Him. Our inability to live a life without sin demonstrates we are not able to exist in the presence of a Holy and Righteous God. God in His eternal wisdom provided the way for our redemption and proclaimed that we are free to accept or reject "His Way". It is not man's way. It is the Living God who parted the heavens declaring "This is my beloved Son; hear Him". That Way is His Son our Redeemer Jesus Christ. who was sent to us, born of a virgin, was baptized to fulfill all righteousness which also was witnessed by the Holy Spirit, was crucified and died (atoning for the sins of the world) declaring "It is finished", was buried and rose on the third day, ascended into heaven and will return in power and glory.
Upon sincerely acknowledging and repenting from our sins we are forgiven through faith in Jesus Christ we are then baptized, Born Again, receive the Holy Spirit, and will be resurrected adopted Sons and Daughters of God. This does not come about because of our good works or any goodness within us. It is God's gift through Jesus Christ. Believers are to learn and grow in Spirit following His teachings, keeping Gods commandments, praying daily and searching the scriptures. Now having such a gift shall we more freely love, do good works and forgive others? Did He not give us examples?..."Forgive us Father for our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Let us strive to follow in Christ footsteps giving witness of our new life by how we live and treat others. So that by doing good works our family, loved ones, and those we meet, may see what Christ has done in us and thereby desire to know Him. True Christians recognize they are not yet perfected but are growing, maturing, being refined, knowing they are justified only by grace in Jesus Christ.
Believers are called to share the Good News (the great commission) of repentance from sin and salvation with love, humility and respect, without being overbearing, argumentative, or condescending. Certain of the hope within, defenders of the faith, enduring to the end. Now, if any man chooses not to hear the witness of Gods Love and Salvation respect their decision. Pray calling upon the Spirit to open their minds and hearts. Leave them in peace that they know of your sincerity and love for them. Then as God wills, they may one day come to remember your words recalling the echoes of the Holy Spirit knocking upon the door of their heart and at that time accept Gods Salvation.
Then as we come to the end our days upon the earth having fought the good fight we depart this life for our new home beyond the veil. When God's Divine Plan is completed "every soul and all creation" will shout for joy acknowledging and proclaiming Gods Love, Holiness, Truth, Wisdom, Righteousness, Justice, Mercy, Redemption, Power and Glory. Blessed are those who's names are found written in the Book Of Life. If you do not have a personal relationship with God please seek Him for in a moment of time you may depart into eternity. Perhaps today....the day you have received these words?
Jesus was asked: What is the great commandment in the Law? He said, "Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. It is also written "The fear of God (awareness of our separation from God) is the beginning of wisdom and then perfect Love cast out (removes) all fear."....Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life no man comes to the Father but by Me"....and "If you love Me keep my Commandments"..."He that believes in Me shall inherit eternal life." Here we may understand that Gods Love for us conquers all. Do (you) truly believe God when He says "He sent His Son to die for the sins of the world?" It is my testimony to you that He did. I hope that through Gods Holly Spirit you may be fully persuaded to know of these things for yourself.
